I Survived

Mom's,

Just got done with a slumber party and I had a great time!! It was loud and hectic at times however, I would not have traded the weekend for nothing. We made treats, did crafts, watched movies and danced. I really enjoyed my weekend and so did my daughter.

Sumber Party

Mom's,
I have enlisted myself for a slumber party! It will be about 6 or 7 giggly little girls enjoying the joys of life. Don't ask me how I got tricked into this slumber party however, I am looking forward to my daughter having a great time. I remember the days of slumber parties where me and my cousins laughed and giggled about the silliest of things. Good old clean and innocent fun. Which every time you turn the TV on is really missing from society today. I do understand that we cannot shelter our children from everything but we can preserve their innocents as best as possible by not allowing them to see everything and hear everything. So this time tomorrow I will be part taking in a dancing contest, makeover session, cupcake making station and whatever it is that little girls like to do . Good, wholesome fun just what we need nowadays! WISH ME LUCK!!! :)

Schools Coming Up

Mom's,
If you are like me you are excited about the beginning of the new school year. However, unlike most moms I have not started the dreaded school shopping process. I find shopping for deals and arguing with my 7 year old in regards to what shoes to by very daunting. I did manage to escape the long lines of registration this time around however, I do have a few fine details to square away like a dentist appointment and annual eye exam. Has anyone managed to find any good deals they would like to share or any store that has unusual great sales let us fellow moms know!!

Bedtime

Mom's
It has been a long day and now it is time for bed. It seem like my daughter is tricking me into a later and later bedtime but, I have allowed it because school is right around the corner and I enjoy our quiet time together especially after I put my 1 year old to bed. She and I chat and talk about upcoming events it is really nice to just lay on the couch and enjoy the sweetest and simplest conversation you can have. When I converse with my daughter at night it seems to lighten the days burdens and gives you sweet and innocent thoughts before you tuck your own self in bed. The joys of motherhood wouldn't trade it!

Play Dates

Moms,
Isn't play dates the BEST! I encourage every mommy to go out and start a play group or at least find another mom to schedule play dates. I have found especially during the summer months that play dates break up the daily routine and adds a much needed change of routine for those adventure seeking children of ours. I have found a good friend and a great playmate for my daughter. These dates give the children a chance to change the routine while allowing me and the other moms time to interact. Well got to go have a play date plan right now!!

Chatty Children

Mom's,
Is it me or does everyone have a chatty 7 year old? I enjoy the power of expression however, every minute of the day is accompany by the sweet sounds of my 7 year old daughter. I just wanted to hear from my fellow mommies that have little girls is my daughter just a very expressive child or am I just oversensitive to noise? I do encourage her to voice her opinions but my goodness! Mommies across the world do you share in my sentiments? Let me know! Because if I hear about Selena Gomez, Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers or Wizards of Waverly Place again I just might scream! :)
